Jujutsu Kaisen Parade Twixtor

The Shibuya Incident, often referred to as the “Parade of a Hundred Demons,” is one of the most dramatic and impactful arcs in Jujutsu Kaisen. It stands as a turning point in the story, where curses launch a coordinated attack on Tokyo’s Shibuya district on Halloween night, drawing countless civilians, sorcerers, and powerful curses into one chaotic battlefield. The arc showcases intense battles, devastating sacrifices, and the shocking consequences of the war between humans and curses, forever changing the world of jujutsu sorcery.

The incident begins with civilians trapped inside the Shibuya area, sealed off by a veil erected by curse users and special-grade curses. The plan is orchestrated by Kenjaku, the ancient sorcerer inhabiting the body of Suguru Geto. Using manipulation and cunning strategy, Kenjaku seeks to seal away Satoru Gojo, the most powerful sorcerer alive, whose strength has long been the biggest obstacle to the curses’ plans. Gojo’s imprisonment would tip the balance of power and open the way for curses to dominate.

The stage is set on Halloween night, when civilians flood Shibuya for festivities, unaware of the horrors awaiting them. The curses exploit the crowd, trapping innocent people as hostages. Gojo arrives at the scene and is immediately confronted by a deadly alliance of curses: Jogo, Hanami, Choso, and Mahito. This battle becomes one of the most thrilling showcases of Gojo’s overwhelming might. Despite being surrounded and forced to hold back because of the civilians, Gojo annihilates Hanami effortlessly and pushes Jogo and the others to desperation. His ability to maintain composure while protecting innocents demonstrates why he is considered nearly invincible.

Yet, the curses’ strategy is not to defeat Gojo in battle, but to seal him. They use the Prison Realm, a cursed object capable of trapping even the strongest sorcerer. Kenjaku manipulates the chaos, creating the perfect opportunity. Despite Gojo’s near-godlike power, he is ultimately sealed away within the Prison Realm—a shocking twist that sends the jujutsu world into despair. With Gojo gone, the heroes lose their greatest shield, and the curses gain the upper hand. From here, the arc splinters into multiple intense battles across Shibuya. Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and other sorcerers are forced to confront dangerous enemies in deadly encounters. One of the most terrifying fights is Yuji’s battle with Mahito, the sadistic curse who can manipulate souls. Mahito’s cruelty reaches new heights as he toys with Yuji, exploiting his emotions and forcing him to witness the suffering of others. Yuji’s struggle during this arc reflects his growing burden as Sukuna’s vessel and his determination to keep fighting despite overwhelming despair.

Meanwhile, Sukuna himself is unleashed when Yuji loses control. The King of Curses emerges and demonstrates the sheer gap between himself and everyone else. In just a short rampage, Sukuna devastates the battlefield, destroying large portions of Shibuya and even battling Jogo, another powerful curse. Their fight is brutal and one-sided—Sukuna casually humiliates Jogo, reminding everyone of his title as the most feared curse in history. His presence adds another layer of chaos, as neither side—humans nor curses—can control his destructive whims.

Other highlights include Megumi’s critical battles, where his growth as a sorcerer becomes evident, and Nobara’s fierce fight against Mahito’s double. Nobara shines with her courage, but her confrontation ends in tragedy, as Mahito’s touch deals her a potentially fatal blow. This moment underscores the cruel reality of sorcerers’ lives: death is always near, and even the strongest will cannot guarantee survival.

By the climax of the arc, the cost of the Shibuya Incident is staggering. Numerous sorcerers fall, civilians are slaughtered, and the Hero Association equivalent—the Jujutsu Headquarters—suffers a massive blow in morale and power. With Gojo sealed, the balance of power shifts dramatically in favor of Kenjaku and the curses. The once secure world of jujutsu sorcery plunges into uncertainty, and the younger generation, especially Yuji and his friends, must shoulder burdens far beyond their years.

The Shibuya Incident is more than just a parade of battles—it is a story of despair, sacrifice, and the collapse of stability. The title “Parade of a Hundred Demons” reflects both the sheer number of curses unleashed and the overwhelming darkness that floods the city. Every character is pushed to their limits, forced to face not just enemies but their own fears, weaknesses, and the unforgiving reality of war.

In the end, the Shibuya Incident reshapes Jujutsu Kaisen. It strips away the safety nets, removes Gojo from the battlefield, and unleashes Sukuna’s terrifying power upon the world. The arc cements itself as one of the most impactful events in the series, a chilling reminder that in the war between curses and sorcerers, no one is safe and victory always comes with unbearable costs.
